PAPA
Beautiful car. Thanks for sharing it with us. Those cars were BAD. Its a shame they dont run these at every track today. Maybe everyone is afraid to drive a real fast and wild race car.
txracinfireman
It is a shame! These were my favorite race cars. We have 100" Barnett we might put together sometime.
NickHolt
I remember watching the supers run at Beach Ridge back when it was dirt. Those things were on the edge the whole way around. No room for error whatsoever! Nick
97car
It probably had a Goodyear drag slick on it back in the day. I need to dig into a old program and see if I have who might have drove it back then. Nice car I really enjoyed growing up watching them run at Devils Bowl. txracinfireman
It was originally owned in the Dallas area by David Bode and driven by David Ramsey. {#31}. Then it was owned and driven by Russell Shoulders {#21}. It sat for many years and then was acquired by Mike Pogue in Oklahoma. Mike had Denny Moore start rebuilding the car. Denny reclipped the front and done LOTS of work to the chassis. We acquired the car and finished it.
97car
If I remember right David Ramsey got killed in a front straight crash about 1973 or 74 in a sprint car. The super is still a nice car. I wish I had one and they still raced them. I stand corected it was David James that was killed( it was a memory thing).
