NickHolt
An interesting turn of events for sure. Merging classes is always difficult, but I hope things turn out OK for everyone involved.
MikePeters95
This really isn't a big deal. These classes have ran together since they first time they allowed factory stocks to come out. The races have been nose to tail with both classes, it works really well. Bootleggers (same as I37 fireball essentially) and Factory Stocks all in one class. Car count is growing, the cars and drivers at this time are pretty even, they've had almost 10 events over a year or so for the Bootleggers to "pull the cars out of the weeds". This weekend was mostly all factory stocks and the older street stocks last weekend were all on par with the 45 car who this weekend won. Great job observing and trying something new to see if it would work and verifying it did with the promoters at HMP. I think this will be a great class as it develops further over time. I know quite a few folks looking at running that class since they don't tear stuff up and the rules are somewhat open on car selection. rocket55
This is certainly a growing class and looks like a blast. Owen and Karl manage tech well to keep the class growing too. I think we're convinced enough to get the Ol 55 out of retirement....and probably more so its owner to get on the track again. See yall in June for the next race!! RodneyRodriguez
Pretty simple answer here, I got tired of saying Hurrican Automotive Repair Bootlegger/Factory Stocks and fans having to try to figure out the difference. So a few races back I said, "Next up, the stock cars! The HMP Stock Cars". Flows better, no hidden agendas here. Same result, same one's showing up. See yall in June for the next race!! 100% . Class looks great. Godo community, reasonable builds. Legends, Legacy, and Stock Cars common demoninators: - Cheap Tires - Fields with mostly owner/racers I think this with the Crown Vics (which take more than 2 weeks to build ) if given until 2025 will be the biggest classes at HMP consistently. I like that they're seeming to look at the events and make some changes and catch up to what other tracks are doing and have been doing since the 2010's with spectator drags and crown vics. Maybe one day they'll even have some drifting cars show up for a one-off, or ghymkhana duels which are also a wildly popular way to get new people who are car people to the track. Maybe. Makes sense to me....as they are indeed true stock cars with factory firewalls and metal bodies.
