debbiec Posted June 21, 2005 Report Share Posted June 21, 2005 I wanted to give an update on Steve and to tell everyone thank you for helping the family. To everyone that has dropped money in the hats, came to the benefit, mailed in donations, and to all the people who made this benefit happen and made it work so well...........THANK YOU ! He had his 11th surgery yesterday, they closed up the left side (they had to make several amputations on the left side, he will most likely not be able to have a prostectic on that side). They closed the right side up last week. He will have surgery on Friday to do skin grafts on the left side and chest. He will turn 34 on July 4th and his kids will get to see him for the 1st time since the accident. He may be released from the hospital in a couple of weeks, but will continue daily therapy for a while. He is in good spirits and Carla said he was very emotional when she got back and told him about the benefit. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
