Racers,  How do I Calculate the "Final Drive" Rear Gear Ratio w/ the Transmission Chosen Drive gear ratio?

For Example !!!!  I have a 1.68 Second Gear in a Three Speed Saginaw Trans.  w/ a 3.55 rear gear ratio....   What is the Final Drive Ratio would that be? & how do calculate that Equation?

thanks racers....

5.96.

Simply 1.68 x 3.55 = 5.96.

This is how I think it through. Engine turns 1.68 times to turn the transmission 1 time. Then the transmission turns 3.55 times to turn the wheels once. So each of those 3.55 revolutions of the transmission is 1.68 revolutions of the engine. So you have 3.55 x 1.68.
