South Texas Shootout Night 1

The annual event at the Corpus Christ facility will officially begin tonight after a strong showing at Practice Night last night. Perfect December weather, clear skies, comfortable temperatures and a full moon. As Track Promoter, Owen Pittman likes to say, it may get Western at the Ranch this weekend as teams try to lock in for the big money tomorrow night and a full Late Model show, folks will get their money's worth of action.

The pits are full, overflow into spectator parking as the best drivers in the region converge on the Gulf Coast one last time in 2022. All Results are Unofficial and commentary is based on my observations from the stands. I have no contact with track officials during the event. 143 entries in 6 classes ready to to go. In the words of the late Mills Lane, "Let's get it on!"
