NASCAR  is going to race a street race .aint that something .desperate ... and of all cities they picked  chicago .. i hope none of our drivers get  car jacked robbed or shot ... has nascar not noticed the crime in that city and the lack of police help .. i would not  go near that city even if someone paid for my trip ..

You got thar right. Hell the Chicago Police are not allowed the chase people that run from them unless it is pretty serious.

last night the police didnt chase a murderer who just shot someone .. they were right on his tail and was ordered under the sissy act .do not chase ..

Chicago holds festivals and concerts almost every weekend of the summer.  especially on the big holidays.  most of the murders in Chicago don't happen down town

I think at 60%, I might still take the over.

Kind of an old thread getting posted in again, I go to Chicago for work often and this area will be fine. The city will pile a ton of resources to make it look nice.

The 100 weekend shootings they average will happen two interstates southward in the less affluent neighborhoods they don't care about because they run their city like Gotham or some other dump in a comic book, but sadly, they do that in real life.  

Love it or hate it, Chicago is the 3rd largest metro area and they're dropping NASCAR dead center of it. I hope it goes well, have my criticisms and doubts but I truly hope it goes well for the sport.  They need to make MJ Grand Marshall for real.
