NickHolt Posted June 26, 2022 Report Posted June 26, 2022 This unfortunate information was posted by the Buffalo Creek Speedway owner somewhere: Good evening everyone. I know that I haven't been on here this week. But to tell you the truth. I really didn't have any understanding of what actually happened. And I still am trying to get it solved quickly. Friday afternoon before the races, while going to the hardware store, I stopped at an ATM to get more money. Only to be declined. I was not sure why. I was hoping the money that I brought would be enough. As you all know, we had a smaller than expected car count, which caused us to lose over $11,000 Friday. I only had brought about half that amount. I told those of you that I would go Monday to start getting the bank checks to send out. But on Monday I found out that my account was locked due to suspicious activity. Somehow, someone in Nigeria had been able to buy gift cards from my account. This left me with very little money. I have been working with the bank this week to get the money returned. They have agreed to unlock the account, but will not return the money until after a review. I was told that this could take up to 30 or 60 days. I have been trying to get it returned sooner. No luck so far. I have a record of everyone I owe. And will get you your money as soon as I have it. As for the track, there is no way that I can go forward from here. I am talking to someone about taking the track over. And to finish the season. I know this hurts. There are no words to describe how this feels. After the work and money put into getting the track going. Losing 20 grand in the first 3 races also hurts. But would keep fighting until we make it profitable. But right now the only thing that I know to do is allow someone else the opportunity to keep the track going. God bless you all and thanks for the support Quote
