Old Time Memories sort of like at our Three Local Old Time Speedway's Indeed.... (Meyer Speedway, Almeda Speedway, & Playland Park here in Houston, Texas in the 50's, 60's, & a little in the Early 70's) Thanks for Posting.... HiTech Posted April 23, 2022 Report Share Posted April 23, 2022 miss the smell of burning regular gas , the sound of those old cars with 283.s and six bangers . hand built cars right out of the back yard . racers having to build their own parts . fights every night .nothing like a flying tire iron lol .. . racing is tame compared to those days .. and lets not forget the smell of burnt up tires .. the smoke coming off of them during a race .. good old cotton candy and smoke filled concession listening to old bull home speakers blasting in your ears ..
