Austin Wayne Self Pre-Race Quotes:

On Nashville Superspeedway: “As a team, we are really focused on Nashville. We are bringing a truck we haven’t raced in almost a year, but it was really fast at Gateway last August.

"We know that time is running out to put ourselves above the cutoff spot in terms of the Playoffs, but it won’t be from lack of effort from everyone on this AM Racing team.

“With some luck, I think we can easily contend for a top-10 finish on Friday night at Nashville and that’s our goal.”

On Texas Motor Speedway: “It was a decent day for the AM Racing team. We struggled with the balance of our No. 22 GO TEXAN | AM Technical Solutions Chevrolet Silverado, but Ryan (Salomon, crew chief) did a great job making adjustments throughout the race that our truck was the best at the end of the race.

“We’re on the cusp of making it into the Playoffs. We will continue to work hard and hope for the best at Nashville.”

On 2021 Season: “We are right there on the cusp of making the Truck Series Playoffs. It’s going to take a lot of work, but we have made great progress so far during the 2021 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season.

“We’ve been very solid to the start of 2021; we just need to keep after it and hope we’re able to produce more of the same or even bigger results into the upcoming crucial summer stretch.”
