This is the article I remotely filed with the San Antonio Light. As you can see, the what they printed was pretty much just the first two paragraphs.  This happened a lot since motorsports was not very high up the Sports Editor's totem pole.

 Not to often I ever used the mark my words I will win ..  FACT NEVER .. but I did warning  another driver and marked them when they didnt take the warning .. … when asked if I was going to win tonight .. I always said talk to me at midnight ..

He knew he had a car that was going to he hard to beat. After Rick Rapp drove that car he said it had more power than his own car, which, he confessed, was pretty much maxed-out under the NASCAR LM rules. Hmmmm
