arts22 Posted April 27, 2005 Report Share Posted April 27, 2005 Turbo, your right BIGGER PURSE, there are 30 trucks that either raced at SAS or THR. If the purse gets bigger your going to see more trucks, I went out early in the race and watched from the stands, everyone was on their feet the entire race, it was an unbelievable feeling to see this from last year to now. Mr. Dickerson said at the driver meeting that if the truck count is high like it was @ THR the purse will grow and if it does you may see drivers not making the show, is that crazy to say that when you think back last year only averaging 12 trucks per race. Definitive Posted April 27, 2005 Report Share Posted April 27, 2005 Just a question ARTS22.I was at the Friday night practice at SAS and saw your wreck into the wall.It seemed like that wreck was about to happen on several laps.Was the truck handleing that badly or were you just stepping closer to the edge every lap?Waiting for your reply in order to say I told you so to a friend.Thx. arts22 Posted April 27, 2005 Report Share Posted April 27, 2005 The truck was getting real loose kept adding rounds to sway bar and it didnt help, they kept telling me run it, it was even loser. I came in looked at the tires and the right rear was bald(still running 21.5's-not bad). We put sticker tire on and was going to scuff them in. On the 970 tires, you run them until they start to stick then you run 2-3 hard laps and bring it in and let the tires cool down or you'll ruin them. The tires started to get sticky, I told them 2 hard laps and lets call it a night, before I could hit the break coming to turn 3 the ball joint on the lower control arm broke, I was along for the ride after that. I figured it was going to be like the start of a TAMS race at THR or something! I am only kidding TAMS guys. Just a friendly joke. We had so many yellows once we got the first one, the Yella Wood guy called Dickerson this week to ask about sponsoring the series. And Gdog, I'll have mine in a tall glass.
