Bandit Posted April 19, 2005 Report Posted April 19, 2005 Just read the release by TQ. I have not talked to Tavo in a couple of days, but TQ's release sounds accurate. I know Tavo and Brian have a good working relationship and this is probably a major reason it will be at THR. Quote
Guest RaceDog Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 sounds like gq is part of this but doesnt want to admit it? did tavo ever race locally here in austin? Quote
tqj3 Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 RaceDog- Nope, TQ is not part of this, though I am planning to submit my resume to the promoting group. Yes, Tavo raced a modified here a few times in the late '90s when it looked like he was going to be part of the Tyler Jet Motorsports team, but most of his late model and modified racing was done in the Carolinas. ProTree Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 hey racedog-i got some dogs at my track that are "FASTER" than you-lol Quote
Guest RaceDog Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 (edited) i do not believe you gq grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr what i dont get is what is the point of having this race at thr the fast cars there already do not have very good racing a heavy fast car will be even worse now a hooters race at sas would be good time to put a layer of dirt on thr grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Edited April 20, 2005 by RaceDog Quote
tqj3 Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 RaceDog- It's kind of irrelevant what you believe. As for the point of having the race at THR, I said, and Verlatti confirmed, that Tavo has been trying to get a race like this at THR for two years. SAS was never considered. Want to see some good racing? Come watch the street stocks at THR. Quote
Guest RaceDog Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 it is irrelevant that you say come watch the street stocks at THR when we are talking about a real race car with real power grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Quote
tqj3 Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 RaceDog- By that logic, the only things worth watching are the fastest cars (Formula 1 and Top Fuel), the best football (Super Bowl and World Cup only), and the most beautiful women... Quote
kevin bowen Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 buckweat said he hasnt kicked any weeny dog butt lately, also he wants to know where your car is . He told me to tell you he would pee on your windshield . Are ya feelin the thunder ? Quote
fast18 Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 (edited) From WHERE I was sitting there looked to be some pretty fast Street Stocks at THR on opening night . Edited April 20, 2005 by fast18 Quote
KahneFan Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 Timing them during practice, SS's are only a second or two slower than LM's @ THR. Last season Terry loaned a SS to a LM driver who was short their car (for whatever reason), Terry's SS was almost keeping up with the LM's. And, as a fan, I can tell all the naysayers(sp?) out there that THR is definitely NOT a one grove track. I've seen many driverse state that, but being in the stands and just watching y'all, I can tell you that the DRIVERS may be 'one grove', but once you get that out of your head, I've seen MANY drivers who have started finding the second (sometimes third) grove. As long as drivers don't block each other, there can be some GREAT racing @ THR. Especially with that widened back stretch! Practice makes all the difference in the world. I was able to make all three weekends of practice this year and yet I only saw 10 or 12 different drivers out there. And people wonder why those drivers win... Quote
Guest RaceDog Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 slm races r terrible there anything faster than a street stock makes it a 1 lane track winston west race will be no different a snoooooooozzzzzzzerrrrrrrrrrr grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Quote
Truck99 Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 Hey Dog, you've made your point. Just stay at home on Oct. 1. The race will survive without your ticket sale. BTW, what's the purpose of your meaningless posts? What do you hope to accomplish? Quote
Guest RaceDog Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 good point have fun i will be at the space city race with my team grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Quote
Bandit Posted April 20, 2005 Author Report Posted April 20, 2005 If you look under the press release section, there is a responce from Tavo. Racemutt, why don't you just be happy we are getting the race regardless of where it is? Quote
fast18 Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 I'll be at the Space City race also...working...but if you guys want to pitch in we can have RaceDog neutered. He probably won't be such a stinker afterwards. Quote
Guest RaceDog Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 d bandit and slow 18 i will take a muzzle over neutering Quote
fast18 Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 ...slow 18...if I don't pick it up after that last race that may be my new name Quote
Jason Posted April 21, 2005 Report Posted April 21, 2005 Mickey maybe the wiener dog saw your performance at CCMS last year! Quote
fast18 Posted April 21, 2005 Report Posted April 21, 2005 Blowing a motor after about 5 or 6 laps could hardly be considered a performance . Quote
