thumper
I don't pretend to knw the politics but it seems to me NASCAR would benefit by having a road course race in Austin. Does not have to be Cup, trucks or Xfinity would be a good start. Taxpayers have invested a great deal in this facility and NASCAR is looking to recover an audience. Austin is close enough to draw from San Antonio,Houston, Dallas etc. That's a huge population. Seems a waste to not use this place. Maybe they should add a 1/2 mile paved oval. Nathan
texas motor speedway wouldn't allow them to race here. It shouldn't be that way but it is.
rebelracewriter
texas motor speedway wouldn't allow them to race here I think that may be more the SMI group than TMS as an entity....Those two big money groups(SMI and COTA) have been at each others throats before this. rebelracewriter
How would cota having a race affect tms? Besides the fans from farther south in Texas who would have less travel, the biggest thing would be one of the two TMS races...
