BobbyChaffee Posted April 8, 2005 Report Posted April 8, 2005 Back Gate News and Notes Thunder Hill Raceway Practice 4/7/05 Thunder Hill Raceway in Kyle, TX held its weekly practice session. A large mix of cars was present at the 3/8th mile track to tune cars for the upcoming racing season. There were no serious accidents during the practice just a few spins. Mickey McKim was having motor problems in his #18 Street Stock. “If I could just my car to run as good as it looks, Ill be just all right.” McKim stated after he loaded the brightly colored flamed car on the trailer. Rookie USRA/ All star race truck driver Cameron Moore was testing his new race truck after driving over nine hours to pick it up. His team went to Oklahoma to pick up the race truck. This was his first racing experience and the truck was having fuel pick up problems. Cameron hopes to have all of the bugs worked out of his machine in time for the April 23, 2005 USRA race at Thunder Hill. With no major problems at the track and with no equipment getting torn up it was a good practice session. The Following is a list of cars that showed to the track for the practice session.
