Witt Wins at HOT

 

 

 

ELM MOTT—Henry Witt, Jr. from Waco took command midway through the I.M.C.A. modified feature Friday night at the Heart O’ Texas Speedway and claimed the win over Randall Harwell from Gatesville and Hardy Henderson from Round Rock.

 

 

 

Steve Spoonts from Belton won the I-stock feature with Jason Honey from Waco in second and Benji Kirkpatrick from Elm Mott in third. Honey and Spoonts traded positions in the I-stock make-up feature from March 25 with Honey in first, Spoonts in second, and Tim Ezell from Buffalo in third.

 

 

 

Wacoan Cody Frank topped a full field of I.M.C.A. SportMods to the take feature win followed by Scott Tacker from West and D.L. Wilson from Waco. Keith White from Academy added another I.M.C.A. SportMod feature win to his record in the make-up feature from March 25. Brandon Stewart from Bruceville was second and Sam Sovey from Waco ran third.

 

 

 

The I.M.C.A. hobby stock feature top three were Jerry West from Fort Worth, Dillon Smith from Waco, and Brandon Goodnight from Mart.

 

 

 

Local veteran driver Doug Andrews took the high side and worked his way to a street stock feature win. Mark Geurin from Whitney and Charlie Norris from Hillsboro raced to second and third.

 

 

 

Kevin Smith from Waco picked up the pure stock winner’s trophy. Timmy Kemp and Marshall Sauseda from Bellmead were second and third.

 

 

 

Robinson’s Michael Guenat made it two in a row after the cruiser feature was awarded to him when the winning car was disqualified in a post race inspection. Russell Bullock from Waco advanced to second and Gordon Coble from Elm Mott moved up to third.

 

 

 

Colton Monroe, Trey Johnson, and Brandon Campos finished one, two, and three in the junior mini stock feature.

 

 

 

A practice session will be offered on Tuesday, April 5, beginning at 6:00 P.M. Next Friday will be a regular point night for all classes along with the make-up feature from March 25 for the I.M.C.A. modifieds. Gates will open at 6:00 P.M. and races begin at 8:00 P.M.
