NickHolt Posted September 1, 2016 Report Share Posted September 1, 2016 Pending Weather Forecast Cancels CARS Tour Event at Southern National Once Again Mooresville, NC 9/1/16- For the second time this season at Southern National Motorsports Park the pending forecast for the weekend has forced CARS Tour officials to cancel this weekend’s (September 3rd) CSX Play It Safe 250 presented by MMIA. The race was originally scheduled for May 21st before weather forecast forced the cancelation and eventual rescheduling to September 3rd.The weekend’s forecast of 100% chance of rain on Friday and Saturday due to a tropical storm that is expected to intensify to a hurricane on the East Coast has forced the cancelation this time. CARS Tour officials will review all possibilities on make-up dates and make a decision regarding the event in the near future.
