Pam Kendrick Promoted to President of Memphis International Raceway

JUPITER, Fla. / New York, N.Y. (July 19, 2016) - IRG Sports + Entertainment (IRGSE), a TPG portfolio company, announced the promotion of Pam Kendrick to President and General Manager of Memphis International Raceway (MIR). The announcement was made by Chris Lencheski, Vice Chairman and CEO of IRGSE.

"Ms. Kendrick's aptitude and contributions to Memphis International Raceway since IRGSE took ownership of the facility has been invaluable," stated Chris Lencheski. "She is an innovative thinker, hard worker and embodies all the traits a company needs to be successful. We appreciate all that she has done at Memphis International Raceway and her commitment to the new culture within the organization."

Ms. Kendrick has worked in the motorsports industry since 1998 where she worked for Dover International Speedway on the operations and management side of the business. In 2002 she transferred to Dover Motorsports owned Memphis Motorsports Park as the Director of Administration and remained with the facility until it closed in 2009. IRGSE purchased the facility in late 2010 and reopened it under the direction of Ms. Kendrick as the Vice President and General Manager.

This year the Mid-South's premiere facility was tabbed as the new home of the world's longest continually running drag race event, the World Series of Drag Racing. Ms. Kendrick has spearheaded the addition of the major sporting event to MIR and has worked with the local community to promote the historic race. In addition, MIR celebrated 30 years of hosting the Super Chevy Show in April and the turnout was record setting. Fan attendance exceeded numbers from previous shows.

Memphis International Raceway is a multi-faceted facility located minutes outside of Memphis, Tennessee. The property features a championship ¼-mile drag strip, a tri-oval built to NASCAR specifications, and a 1.8-mile road course. Over 150 events are hosted at the facility annually ranging from weekly programs to national events.
