With over $130,000 in prize money up for grabs, the weekend is sure to provide door-to-door racing action, lap after lap, as the stars of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series battle a strong contingent of local and regional standouts.The action kicks off on Thursday, July 7th at Fayetteville Motor Speedway in Fayetteville, N.C. The Dunn Benson Ford Wayne Gray Sr. Memorial will include a complete program of: Miller Welders Time Trials, Heat Races, B-Mains, and a 50-lap, $10,000-to-win main event for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. Jonathan Davenport will return as the defending winner of the Dunn Benson Ford Wayne Gray Sr. Memorial. The night will also feature: Fayetteville Motor Speedway Late Models, Modifieds, Pure Stocks, and U-Car divisions. The late Clarence "Grassy" Smith is known throughout the stock car racing industry for his contributions to motorsports and his keen engine building skills. Jonathan Davenport wrestled the lead away from Chris Ferguson (with five laps remaining) to score the win, in 2015. The event will include a complete program of: Miller Welders Time Trials, Heat Races, B-Mains, and a 50-lap, $10,000-to-win main event for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. The SECA Late Models, Limited Sportsman, Crate Sportsman, and Stock 4 will serve as support division at Cherokee Speedway.
