(April 16, 2016) Lance Norick found his way to Canyon Speedway Park victory lane by topping Saturday nights 25-lap ASCS Southwest Region Sprint Car event atop the 1/3-mile clay oval.While Norick topped the ASCS Southwest ranks, Cody Cambensy captured NAPA Non-Wing Sprint Car honors, George Fronsman knocked off another IMCA Stock Car win, Shon Deskins defeated the Micro Sprints and Tony Martin downed the Dwarf Cars.After starting eighth, Norick took the lead away from wingless ace Stevie Sussex in the opening handful of laps of the ASCS Southwest Region feature event. (April 16, 2016) Absent from Victory Lane since 2014, Arizona's Lance Norick ended his dry spell on Saturday night, claiming the nights $1,500 winner's check at the Canyon Speedway Park with the Carlyle Tools ASCS Southwest Region. Norick's third career victory with the Carlyle Tools ASCS Southwest Region, the Children's Miracle Network No. 90 railed the highline of the Canyon Speedway Park. Coming from the eighth position, Norick advanced past Stevie Sussex on Lap 5 for the lead. California's Colby Copeland crossed second with Ryan Linder earning the show position. Running inside the top three most of the race, Stevie Sussex ended his night fourth with Rick Ziehl completing the top-five. From 11th, Wes Wofford finished sixth with Bob Ream, Jr. seventh. Colton Hardy, Jesse Baker, and James Mosher completed the top-ten. With the victory, Norick was also the night's SpeedMart Hard Charger of the Night. The Carlyle Tools ASCS Southwest Region returns to competition on Saturday, April 23 at the Central Arizona Speedway in Casa Grande, Ariz.
