Long Victorious in Sprint Series of Oklahoma Red River Event!

Wichita Falls, Texas April 3, 2016 - Brandon Long utilized his outside, front row starting position to his advantage as he took the lead at the start and never looked back in claiming the Sprint Series of Oklahoma IMCA Racesaver feature Sunday evening at Red River Speedway in Wichita Falls, Texas.

John Kelly started on the pole for the twenty-five lap feature but it was Long taking the lead as the green flag fell. Touring regular Chris Kelly, aboard the Anthonys Family Clinic sponsored, #32k Triple X chassis, worked his way from his third starting position to finish second while thirteenth starting Logan Scherb came home third. Eleventh starting Chad Koch worked his way to a fourth place finish while J. Kelly rounded out the top five.

The next event for the Sprint Series of Oklahoma IMCA Racesaver sprint series will feature two races at two different Oklahoma venues. It all kicks off on Friday night, April 15, at Southern Oklahoma Speedway in Ardmore, Oklahoma as the tour will be part of the tracks Fast Friday series. Then on Saturday night the tour will load up and head northwest to the beautiful Longdale Speedway in Longdale, Oklahoma where they will meet the United Rebel Sprint Series (URSS) in a co-sanctioned event at the Jessie Hoskins owned, three-eighths mile oval.
