Southern Oklahoma Speedway Opens 2016 With TOMS This Weekend

Ardmore, Oklahoma March 29, 2016 - The 2016 race season at Southern Oklahoma Speedway in Ardmore will finally get underway this Saturday night (April 2) and will be highlighted by the first of five appearances of the season by the Texas Outlaw Modified Touring Series (TOMS).

Joining the TOMS will be the first official point season for the tracks sport mod; hobby stock; stock car and economy mod divisions in what promises to be an exciting start to the race season.

Want to get a sneak peek at the cars and stars that are expected to compete weekly at S.O.S.? The track will host their annual car pre-race car show at the old Brad Fenton location, located next to Billy Simms BBQ from noon until 2:00 PM. Gates open at 5:00 PM with races set for a 7:30 PM start time. Grandstand admission for this event is just $20 for ages 12 and up; ages 6-11 admission is $15 while all pit passes $35.
