Sprint Series of Oklahoma Back in Action Next Sunday Night

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma March 27, 2016 - It is back to race action this coming Sunday night, April 3, as the Sprint Series of Oklahoma IMCA Racesavor series makes a return trip to Red River Speedway in Wichita Falls, Texas. The tour opened the season at the Kevin Ramey promoted, red-dirt clay oval located on the western outskirts of Wichita Falls with John Carney II of Lubbock picking up two opening weekend victories back in early March.

Among the series regulars expected to compete on this Sunday evening special event include; Zach Blurton, Andy Shouse, Gary Kelley Jake Martens, female hot-shoe Shayla Waddell, Joe Wood, Jr., Taylor Velasquez as well as a host of drivers from throughout the Northern Texas area and a strong field of close to thirty drivers is expected.

This event will pay the standard $700 to win with all drivers making the twenty car feature finale earning $250. Drivers not making the championship feature will earn $100. Also, Messmer Racing LLC and Martens Machine Shop (Fairveiw) will present a heat race winner $100, which will be customary and each SSO event in 2016.

Pit gates will open at noon while grandstand gates open at 2:00 PM. Hot laps are slated for 3:30 PM with green flag racing set for a 4:00 PM start time. General Admission just $15 (ages 12 to 64; tickets available on race day only), Kids (ages 6-11) just $5, Ages 5 and under admitted free with Adult admission (grandstand only), Active Military and Seniors (Ages 65+): $12. All Pit Passes $35 for all ages.

Red River Speedway is a quarter-mile dirt oval track located 3 1/2 miles west of Wichita Falls on Highway 287. Exit FM 369 and go North one mile. The track is on the right side of the road. For track and race information call the track (817) 988-7433.

The inaugural Sprint Series of Oklahoma race season will boast a total of fifteen races at five different tracks throughout the state of Oklahoma and Texas.
