Park City, Kansas March 21, 2016 - The most anticipated weekend in the tours 27-year history as the sixth annual Park City Cup/Air Capital Shootout featuring the National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing Products sprint car division will join forces with the new gomuddy.com National Sprint League 360 for a huge three nights of racing action this coming Thursday through Saturday night at 81 Speedway in Park City. And on the eve of Easter, one lucky driver will take home a whopping $10,000 in what is the largest purse in NCRA history. Just to make the championship nights twenty-four car feature finally pays $500. It all kicks off on Thursday night (24th) with an open practice session for all sprint car drivers from 7:00 PM until 10:00 PM. For the second year in a row a special time trial session will be held with extra money on the line for the three fastest drivers during this optional event. This will have no bearing on qualifying for either Friday and Saturday night, just an opportunity for drivers to pick up some extra money heading into an already huge payout weekend. There is a $10 entry fee for this special time trial session and the payout for the top three quick times are as follows: Thursday night Special time trial session (optional): $10 entry feeFast time $500, second quick $300, third quick $200 (Time trials have no bearing on qualifying for either Friday or Saturday) Both the NCRA and NSL 360-ci sprint car series will officially get underway on Friday night (25th) as drivers will compete in the one-night program, looking to take home that nights $1500 top prize with drivers just making the twenty-four car feature finale taking home $250. All non-qualifiers will earn $100. The official payout for Friday nights feature is as follows: Friday night feature pay: 1) $1500, 2) $1100, 3) $800, 4) $700, 5) $600, 6) $450, 7) $400, 8) $350, 9) $300, 10) $275, 11-24) $250Non-qualifiers will receive $100 We then come to Championship Saturday night and the final night of the sixth annual Park City/Capital Shootout, which will pay $10,000 to win and $500 just to start the twenty-four car feature finale while all drivers not making the finale earning $200. Official pay is as follows: Championship Feature Pay: 1) $10,000, 2) $6000, 3) $4000, 4) $2000, 5) $1500, 6) $1400, 7) $1300, 8) $1200, 9) $1100, 10) $1000, 11) $900, 12) $800, 13) $700, 14) $600, 15-24) $500Non-qualifiers receive $200. Friday nights program will see gates open at 5:00 PM with hot lap sessions starting at 6:00 PM. The first heat is scheduled to fire off at 7:00 PM. Grandstand admission will be $20 for all ages eleven and up. Championship Saturday night will once again see gates open at 5:00 PM with race time slated for 7:00 PM and grandstand admission for ages eleven and up is just $20. You will also be allowed to park on the speedway ground and remember there are no available hookups.
