(March 14, 2016) The Open Outlaw Karts presented by Indy Race Parts will join in on the fun Saturday night at what is building up into a mega event with over 50 USAC Midget entries already filed for the Bryan Clauson-promoted Shamrock Classic at Du Quoins Southern Illinois Center. A field of 25-30 Open Outlaw Karts are anticipated for the $500-to-win, $75-to-start event atop the 1/6-mile Southern Illinois Center oval with top contenders such as Logan Seavey, Tanner Thorson, Jamie Ball, Nick Hoffman and Doug Canham among the mix. I am excited to add the Outlaw Karts presented by Indy Race Parts to the Shamrock Classic program, Clauson commented. A lot of the top short track racers in the nation got their start in the Outlaw Kart division. This should be a great stage for these guys to showcase themselves as well as the Outlaw Kart division. The Outlaw Karts presented by Indy Race Parts will pill draw to form heat race groups with lineups determined by hot lap qualifying times with an invert of four. The feature event will be a 25-lapper with 20 Karts. Heat races will be eight laps (with an eight minute time limit), the B Main ten laps (with a ten minute time limit) and the A Main 25 laps (with a 20 minute time limit). Saturdays drivers meeting is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. with hot laps/qualifying set for 3:45. Entry fee for the Outlaw Karts presented by Indy Race Parts is $25. The complete payout for Saturdays Outlaw Kart feature is as follows: 1st-$500, 2nd-$200, 3rd-$125, 4th-$110, 5th-$100, 6th-$95, 7th-$95, 8th-$90, 9th-$90, 10th-$85, 11th-$85, 12th-$85, 13th-$80, 14th-$80, 15th-$80, 16th-$75, 17th-$75, 18th-$75, 19th-$75, 20th-$75. Additionally, Hoosier Tire offers a $200 cash bonus if the winner of the Shamrock Classic Kart race if the winner has Hoosier tires on all four corners. Also, two right side tires will go to the top four finishers with Hoosiers on all four corners. Hoosier Tire Indy will also donate four tires to be given away randomly. Reserved seats for Saturdays Shamrock Classic at the Southern Illinois Center are just $25. Adult general admission tickets are $20 with children 6-12 just $10 and children five and under free.
