PLUS MODIFIEDS, LTD MODS, FACTORY STOCKS & FWD 4-CYL - SATURDAY MARCH 5TH at 7PM! Kilgore TX (02/29/16) - Race fans were entertained with the winged sprint cars at the 2016 LoneStar Speedway (LSS) opener, and now they'll have a chance to see them on the high banks again - except this time without the wings! This Saturday, March 5th, the Elite Non-Winged Sprint Series will invade LSS with their season opener, along with the Championship Points Night Round 2, for the Modifieds, Factory Stocks and Limited Modifieds. The new FWD 4-Cylinder division will round out the 5-division racing card. Fans can expect to see Elite Series drivers such as 2015 LSS Elite feature winner Jeff Day; plus John Ricketts, Johnny Miller, Thomas Johnson, Dustin Gates, Sebie Davis, Robert Vetter, Michael Day, Steven Elliott, Chris Clark, Jeff Day Jr., David Burke, Carl Large, David Garland, Mitchell Clement, Ryan Hall, Cody Robbins, Josh McCord, Richard Miller, Justin Fifield, Dalton Stevens...and several other non-winged drivers from throughout the region. Elite teams will be racing for a solid purse of: $800 - 500 - 400 - 350 - 300 - 250...to start. Any non-starters or non-qualifiers in the feature will receive $200. The high-powered LSS Modifieds will be racing for $1,000 to win and $100 to start, while the Factory Stocks pay $300 to win and the Limited Modified winner receives $500. FWD 4 Cylinders pay $100 to win. Complete purse breakdown in all divisions is posted at the LSS website under the 'Resources' section, as always. There are no LSS entry fees or track fees due from any of the racing divisions to LSS...just your $30 pit pass! And the best part for the race fans: you can take in all of this action for just $15! Kids ages 6-11 can take in the night of fun for just $5. Seniors and Active Military are $13. All pit passes for all ages are $30. RaceCeivers are required for drivers; however mufflers at LoneStar Speedway are not required, so race fans can hear the cars the way nature intended for them to be heard!
