TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY PORTACOOL™ U.S. NATIONAL DIRT TRACK CHAMPIONSHIP REGISTRATION OPENS

 

Ft. Worth TX (7/8/15) -Texas Motor Speedway (TMS) officials are pleased to announce the registration website is now open for the PORTACOOL™ U.S. National Dirt Track Championship at The Dirt Track at TMS.

 

The event will be held September 11-12, 2015 featuring the Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Car Dirt Series, Limited Modifieds; and for the first time in TMS history, Factory Stocks, competing for over $70,000 in cash, plus prizes (details below).

Since the Factory Stocks are new to TMS, full Factory Stock rules are posted at the upper left of each page of the event website and can be downloaded and they are print formatted as well.

 

Limited Modified and Factory Stock teams can save $40/each on their entry by getting registered between now and August 28th. After that date, ‘race week’ pricing will be in effect.

 

Car numbers are assigned on a first-come basis, so if there is a number you want, it is a good idea to register as soon as possible for the best chance of getting it.

 

TMS will add two provisional starters to the Limited Modified and Factory Stock championship feature – but those names will be drawn from pre-entered drivers only, so don't miss out on this second chance! To be considered an “Early Entered Driver” your entry must be received (online or postmarked) by August 28th, 2015. The Limited Modified and Factory Stock championship events pay $2,000 to win and $400 to start (24th).

 

There are 120 paved, reserved parking spaces available for this event. Once those spaces have been purchased, all other teams will be parked by TMS officials upon their arrival at the speedway. Purchase pit parking while supplies last at the event website.

 

With the new addition of the Factory Stocks, reserved pit spaces are expected to sell out much quicker than normal. So if you need one, you should act now before supplies are exhausted.

 

Teams can pay using any major credit or debit card and all transactions are secured through PayPal, a company that has soared to over 165 million active accounts. You do not have to be a PayPal member to use this free service.

PORTACOOL is continuing their very 'cool' bonus to each of the three U.S. National Dirt Track Championship winners: the ASCS Sprint Car, Factory Stock and Limited Modified (all on Sept. 12th) A-feature winners will receive a Port-A-Cool Cyclone 3000™ – valued at $849 each.

 

The Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Car Dirt Series event will be contested on Saturday, September 12th. A complete program of heat races, B-features and Championship Feature will take place. There is no TMS entry fee for Sprint Cars to this event, however if Sprint Teams would like to purchase paved reserved pit spaces, make practice night payment or purchase 2-day pit passes, they can do so at the registration website.

 

On Friday September 11th, the Limited Modifieds and Factory Stocks will compete in qualifying heat races and qualifying feature races, which will line up their last chance events and championship A-feature on Saturday September 12th.

 

The Limited Modified and Factory Stock championship events will feature a 3-wide start, which will be sure to make for an exciting climax to their weekend of racing.

 

Race fans can purchase grandstand tickets to this great weekend of racing for $10 on Friday and $25 on Saturday. Kids ages 12 and under will be admitted for $5 on Friday and $10 on Saturday. Purchase tickets by clicking http://www.TexasMotorSpeedway.com or calling 817-215-8500.

 

There is no charge for grandstand parking. Outside food/drinks are not allowed through the ticket gates, a full range of food and drinks are available for purchase under the main grandstand area.

 

Hot laps are at 6pm on Friday, with races at 7pm. Saturday night’s hot laps are at 7pm with racing at 8pm. Grandstands open at 5pm Friday and 6pm Saturday.

 

There is a practice night scheduled for Factory Stocks, Limited Modifieds and Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Car Dirt Series teams Thursday September 10th at 6pm.
