Midgets Invade Lawton Speedway This Saturday Night

Lawton, Oklahoma July 7, 2015 - For the first time since 2011, the mighty midgets will be making a return to the quarter mile red-clay oval of Lawton Speedway in Lawton, Oklahoma as the POWERi Lucas Oil West Midget Series will make their first and only appearance for the 2015 race season.

Also competing will be the tracks championship sprints, USRA modifieds and limited modified divisions.

Ty Henlsey leads the point standings and will be on hand, as well as regulars Anton Hernandez, Matt Sherrell, Eric Fenton, Michelle Decker, Blake Edwards, Cody Brewer, Tyler Nelson, Travis Scott, Alex Sewell.

A host of other drivers from not only around the state but surrounding states as well are also expected to be on hand.

Gates will open at 5:00 PM with race action slated for an 8:30 PM start time. Adult general admission tickets to the grandstands are $15; seniors 60 and over as well as students ages 12-15 $10; ages 6-11 $2 and all pit passes will be $25.

Two ways to get to Lawton Speedway:

Take Interstate 44 to Lee Boulevard.
Go west onto Lee Boulevard to Sheridan Road.
Turn south (left) and go 1.5 miles to the racetrack.

If coming from the south of Lawton:
Exit Highway 36 and take the Faxon exit.
Go north onto Sheridan Road.
Racetrack will be approx. 5 miles.
