CHANGE Coming to TMS PORTACOOL U.S. Nat'l Dirt Track Champs - Be Prepared to Enter

Ft. Worth TX (7/1/2015) - Texas Motor Speedway (TMS) officials are excited to announce big changes for the upcoming PORTACOOL™ U.S. National Dirt Track Championship (USNDTC) at The Dirt Track at TMS. The USNDTC will be held September 11-12, 2015.

The USNDTC will now feature the Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Car Dirt Series as a 1-night event on Saturday, September 12th.

But here's where it gets really exciting for many area racers who have never gotten their chance to take on the ultra-fast 4/10 mile dirt:

This will be the first time the Factory Stocks will be a part of a racing program at TMS's Dirt Track!

Factory Stocks and Limited Modifieds will fire off the USNDTC weekend with qualifying (heats and features) on Friday, September 11th leading up to their Championship night on Saturday, September 12th.

The Factory Stocks and Limited Modifieds will each be gunning for $2,000 to win and $400 to start (24th) their feature event. Both of their Championship feature events will start THREE WIDE!

With this much prize money on the line and the Factory Stocks being a part of the USNDTC for the first time, reserved pit spaces will certainly go fast.

Thus, we wanted to give you a heads up that online registration for this event is slated to kick off by Wednesday, July 8th.

Be watching the racing forums, such as ElbowsUp.com, Hoseheadforums.com, MidSouthForums.com, OklahomaTidbits.com and STLRacing.com for the online registration launch announcement, so you can snag your reserved pit space before they are all sold out.

There are 120 paved, reserved parking spaces available for this event. Once those spaces have been reserved, all other teams will be parked by TMS officials upon their arrival at the speedway.

In addition, Limited Modified and Factory Stock teams will be able save $40/each on their entry by getting registered by August 28th. After that date, ‘race week’ pricing will be in effect. Car numbers are assigned on a first-come basis, so if there is a number you want, it is a good idea to register as soon after launch as possible for the best chance of getting it.

TMS will add two provisional starters to the Limited Modified championship feature – but those names will be drawn from pre-entered drivers only, so don't miss out on this second chance! To be considered an “Early Entered Driver” your entry must be received (online or postmarked) by August 28th, 2015.

Complete event rules, format, payback, schedules and answers to all your other questions will be posted at registration launch next week.

Practice for all registered USNDTC teams will take place on Thursday, September 10th.

Texas Motor Speedway will also provide Championship winners with highly sought after custom awards and prizes - as they have in the past. Details of those items will be posted as the event draws nearer.

Texas based PORTACOOL is thrilled to be involved with this event. PORTACOOL is continuing their very 'cool' bonus to each of the three USNDTC winners: the ASCS Sprint Car, Factory Stock and Limited Modified Championship feature winners (Sept. 12) will receive a PORTACOOL Cyclone 3000™ – valued at $849 each!

Race Teams: mark your calendar for next Wednesday, July 8th, when online registration will kick off for the PORTACOOL U.S. National Dirt Track Championship at Texas Motor Speedway’s Dirt Track September 11-12, featuring the Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Car Dirt Series, Factory Stocks and Limited Modifieds! You'll be able to get registered in just a few minutes, and you'll be all set for a great weekend of racing!
