ASCS Bob Westphal Memorial Cup Sizzlin' Summer Speedweek Finale this Saturday, June 20th

WHEATLAND, MO (June 15, 2015) - Don't miss the first of only two appearances of 2015 by the Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Car Dirt Series Presented by MAVTV. The finale of the Lucas Oil ASCS Bob Westphal Memorial Cup Sizzlin' Summer Speedweek 2015 happens this Saturday, June 20th at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri. The Impact Signs Awnings & Wraps WAR Wingless Auto Racing Sprint Cars Presented by Next LED will also be tackling the "Diamond of Dirt Tracks" this Saturday night.

"If you like Sprint Cars both with wings and without, you won't want to miss this show!" exclaimed Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Dan Robinson. "As we only run sprint cars three weekends per year, this is one of the few chances you have to see the best and fastest sprint car drivers in country compete right here in Wheatland, Missouri."

Albuquerque, New Mexico's Johnny Herrera sits atop the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour Standings with a slim seven point lead over Aaron Reutzel out of Clute, Texas and leads the charge into battle this Saturday. Veteran Wayne Johnson, a Knoxville, Iowa resident sits in the third spot after his most recent win this past weekend at Devils Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas. Snohomish, Washington's Seth Bergman holds down the fourth spot while Bartlett, Tennessee's Jeff Swindell rounds out the Top-5 in the ASCS National Tour standings. Tony Bruce Jr., Matt Covington, Blake Hahn, Kyle Bellm, and Brandon Hanks sit sixth through tenth respectively.

The race this Saturday is also a points race for the Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region Winged Sprint Cars with Sedalia, Missouri's Jonathan Cornell occupying the top spot with only one event complete so far in 2015 as inclement weather has put a damper on the start to the season. California, Missouri's Randy Martin sits in the runner-up spot only eight points out of first. Josh Baughman sits in third with Tyler Thomas in fourth and Austin Alumbaugh holding down the fifth position.
