Title Chases Intensify at DCRP

DODGE CITY, Kan. (June 19, 2015) – Another round of racing action at Dodge City Raceway Park last Saturday resulted in another three lead changes in the championship points chases.

The points will likely be shuffled again with Saturday night’s card that includes IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sport Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars and IMCA Hobby Stocks. Racing gets under way at 7:30 p.m.

Leading the way into Saturday’s tilt are Austin Allen, Jeff Kaup, Michael Pepper and Cody Davis.

General admission is just $10 on Saturday.

Precise Racing Products DCRP Sprint Cars:

A runner-up finish last week put Ness City native Luke Cranston back atop the point charts with a 30-point edge over Zach Blurton. The Sprint Cars have this week off before returning to the track with the June 27 Steve King Memorial.

Two-time champ Austin Allen used a runner-up finish last week to take over the points lead for the first time this year after previous leader Clay Sellard suffered an early DNF.

Defending champ Jeff Kaup reeled off his fourth consecutive podium finish last week to recapture the points lead ahead of Mike Appel as Austin Walker became the fifth different winner in as many races.

With a runner-up finish last week his fourth podium finish in five tries, Cody Davis has opened his lead up to 27 points over Reagan Sellard as Matt O’Hair climbed to third after his second win of the year.

General admission tickets to Saturday’s action are just $10 for adults, with children 11 and under admitted free when accompanied by an adult. Pit admission is $30.

The 2015 slate of events at Dodge City Raceway Park includes 15 nights of competition with a number of special events along the way, highlighted by the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars Boothill Showdown on July 3-4.
