First of nine races in eleven days for USMTS begins Wednesday at Valley Speedway

GRAIN VALLEY, Mo.-Fresh off a five-race stretch through Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin, the USMTS Casey's Cup powered by S&S Fishing & Rental heads south this week for nine events over the course of eleven days.

Action heats back up on Wednesday, June 17, at the Valley Speedway in Grain Valley, Mo., for the first of two events in the MSD Central Region presented by Day Motor Sports.

The pit gate will open at 5 p.m., spectator gates open at 6, hot laps begin at 7 and racing commences at 7:30.

Adult general admission tickets are $16, seniors and members of the military get in for $14 and reserved seating is $18 with all kids tickets just $5. Tickets to the party deck are $20 and pit passes are $35.

Race fans can get discount coupons good for $2 off adult general admission at Casey's General Stores locations in Blue Springs, Buckner, Grain Valley, Independence, Lee Summit and Oak Grove on race day.

In addition to the fire-breathing USMTS Modifieds, the Holley Iron Man Series featuring USRA B-Mods will also be on the racing card.

Mufflers are required for all classes at the Valley Speedway, with a maximum of 95 decibels allowed at 100 feet.

The Valley Speedway is a semi-banked 1/3-mile dirt oval located off of I-70 at exit 24, then 0.9 mile south on Buckner-Tarnsey Rd. (Main St.), then 0.4 mile east on Old US 40 (Hwy AA).

On Thursday, June 18, the popular 81 Speedway located just outside of Wichita, Kan., will host a clash between the USMTS vs. NCRA Modifieds for a "One Night Stand" at the Playground of Power.

Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and race time is 7:30 with NCRA Mod Lite Series joining the evening's line-up.

General admission is $15 for ages 11 and older. Children ages 6-10 are $5.

Last year, defending track champion Joe Adams of Enid, Okla., had the field covered until late in the race when the drive shaft came off of his machine. Despite many of the top drivers in the area competing here each week at 81 Speedway, in the numerous visits made to the speedway by the USMTS teams a local driver has never won the main event. Could it happen this year?

Race fans can get discount coupons good for $2 off adult general admission at Casey's General Stores locations in Derby, Haysville, Maize, Newton, Rose Hill, Valley Center and Wichita on race day.

The 81 Speedway is a semi-banked 3/8-mile dirt oval located north of Wichita on I-135 to exit 16, then 0.7 mile west on 77th St. For more information call 316-755-1781 or visit www.race81speedway.com online.

The annual USMTS Southern Speedweek commences on Friday, June 19, at the Red River Speedway in Wichita Falls, Texas, for the first of seven events in nine days in the highly-competitive Double H Bands Southern Region presented by Day Motor Sports.

With trips to the Route 66 Motor Speedway in Amarillo, Texas, on June 22; Heart O' Texas Speedway near Waco on June 23; Devil's Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas, on June 24; East Texas Speedway in Petty on June 25; and Southern Oklahoma Speedway in Ardmore on June 26; the swing through the south wraps up on Saturday, June 27, at the historic Lawton (Okla.) Nearly $40,000 has been earmarked for the winners from an overall purse of more than $250,000 for events during the month of June.
