81 Speedway to host USMTS this Thursday night

Park City, Kansas - June 15, 2015 - The fastest, baddest modifieds in the region will descend upon 81 Speedway in Park City, Kansas this coming Thursday night as the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) makes their first and only appearances for the 2015 race season.

In last years event, defending 81 Speedway track champion Joe Adams of Enid, Oklahoma had the field covered until late in the race when the drive shaft came off the car. Despite a strong field of weekly modified drivers that compete regularly at 81 Speedway, no local driver has been able to beat the best of the best on their home track.

Among the drivers expected include defending series champion Rodney Sanders, Johnny Scott, Grant Junghans, Jesse Sobbing, Stormy Scott, Kelly Shryock, Casey Carneson, Dereck Ramirez, Jason Hughes, Joe Duvall, Thomas Tillison, Jr. and Ryan Gustin.

As mentioned, a stout field of local track regulars will look to win one for the home crowd, led by last years track champion Adams, defending National Championship Racing Association modified champion Dan Powers, Josh Lanterman, Marc Hurd, Tyler Davis, Brian Franz, Dustin Belcher, just to name a few.

Also on the race card will be an official point show for the NCRA of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing Products mod lite division.

Gates open at 5:00 PM with race time set for 7:30 PM.

Adult general admission is $15 for ages eleven and up and $5 for kids ages 6-10.

81 Speedway is located north of Wichita on I-135 to exit 16, then 0.7 miles west on 77th street. For more race information call the speedway office (316) 755-1781; check out their all new race website www.race81speedway..com or check out their facebook page 81 Speedway.
