Brandon Jones, driver of the No. 33 MasterForce Chevrolet in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS), picked up his fourth top-15 result of the season despite some early challenges at Gateway Motorsports Park.

The No. 33 MasterForce Chevrolet showed great speed throughout the morning practice session, with the team making only slight adjustments before the race. Jones started the 160-lap event from the fifth position and held steady in fourth until the first caution of the night on lap 54. The No. 33 MasterForce team encountered tight conditions early in the race, and they restarted the event seventh after making some adjustments during the first caution period. Jones patiently approached the top five until shortly before the second caution on lap 93, when smoke could be seen coming from Jones Chevrolet Silverado as he exited turns three and four. During the caution period, crew chief Shane Huffman brought Jones to pit road twice to diagnose the problem, ultimately sending Jones back out without making any changes to the No. 33 machine.

Jones continued to run lap times matching the leaders and never slipped past the 16th position, despite the smoke still emanating from his truck. Though he found it difficult to gain track position due to the truck tightening up as he approached other trucks, Jones reentered the top 10 before being called to pit road by NASCAR during the fifth caution period of the night. After finding an oil leak, the team replaced an oil line, putting Jones one lap down with 10 laps remaining. A quick caution just two laps later placed Jones back on the lead lap in the 15th position. Jones slowly made his way into the top 12 and picked up his third top-15 finish of the season.

The No. 33 Chevrolet is 13th in NCWTS Owner Standings following the eighth race of the 2015 season.

This was another tough weekend for the No. 33 MasterForce team. We just cant seem to catch a break, but these guys dont give up. Once again, we had a lot of speed all day, beginning in practice, and it was fun to get to run up in the top five early in the race. Im glad we were able to pick up another top-15 finish with everything we had going on. It says a lot about this GMS Racing team and our potential.
