In light of the cancellation at Houston Motorsports Park, James and I have arranged for a Lone Star Legacy practice at Central Texas Speedway this Saturday from 11:30 am to 3 PM.

It will be a special rate of $50 per car thanks to the kind folks at CTS.

Be aware that this was a last minute deal and we need to be all done practice by 3 pm since CTS has another event scheduled at the facility at that time. And we won't be able to actually get on the track until noon, but getting there at 11:30 gives us some time to get unloaded and the scales set up and all that. And three hours should give everyone a decent amount of practice time.

So, don't let the cancellation get you down too badly, we'll still get somewhat of a racing fix on Saturday.

And be sure to say thanks to Meredith and the good folks at CTS.

We had five Lone Star Legacy cars at the track on Saturday.

Cory Lovell was on rails with and Gabriel Fogg and James Huff not far behind. Wyatt Edgell got some seat time and was picking up speed every time out. Alexis Leone and Cory Lovell ran quite number of side-by-side laps with the pair exchagning the inside for the outside every few laps. Cory's #61 saw some additional track time with Cory's much-better half, Billie Lovell, making her debut in a Legacy along with a couple of Cory's crew members.

Several interested parties dropped by to check out the Legacy cars and ask lots of questions.

Just to clarify, James Remore Jr. has been putting in some laps in my 61 car. He is wanting to get up to speed and make some races. (guess i need yet another car). He was driving the car during the side by side "practicing". ;-) Driving a fast lap is great but being able to drive fast, side by side is much more important. Look for James behind the wheel soon. Im just getting it tuned up for him. lol

Cory,

There are still a dozen, or so, Legacy cars scattered around the state that are on jackstands. We had a couple of new registrations come in over the past week, so at least two of them are no longer on jack stands.

Looks like we'll have a dozen, or more, by the end of the year. We don't want to grow fast, we want to grow right.
