NickHolt Posted June 4, 2015 Report Share Posted June 4, 2015 "Home Game" Next For ICAR Top Speed Modified Tour Southern Division This Saturday, June 6th - Angola Motorsport Speedway to host Broaster Chicken 50 Presented by Top Speed Fabrication Angola, Indiana (Wednesday, June 3, 2015): The Broaster Chicken ICAR Top Speed Modified Tour Southern Division's second race of the 2015 racing season, the Broaster Chicken 50 Presented by Top Speed Fabrication is next on the calendar. This Saturday, June 6th, the fast 3/8s (0.375) mile semi-banked paved oval of Angola Motorsport Speedway, located just south of the Indiana / Michigan state line in Angola, Indiana will see hosts the cars and stars of the premier Modified tour in the Midwestern United States as they make their first of two appearances near the ICAR Home Offices. The ICAR Top Speed Modified Tour made two appearances to the Northern Indiana speed plant in 2014 with Jordan Pruitt, now a Rookie title contender in the ARCA/CRA Super Series and 2008 Tour Champion, Scott Coe grabbing the wins. The ICAR Top Speed Modified Tour Track Record was set back on August 28th, 1999 when the late Stan Perry set the mark. Per the Pre-Entry Form, which is due into the ICAR Offices by Wednesday, June 3rd, 22 cars will take the green flag going for the ICAR standard $1,200 to Win and $400 just to Start the 50-Lap main. In the only other ICAR Southern Division race conducted so far in 2015, veteran Brian Nester, the all-time winningest driver in ICAR Top Speed Modified Tour history, scored the victory in the Genuine Broaster Chicken 50 Presented by Burkett-Nester Racecars on Saturday, May 23rd at Baer Field Speedway. The Hamilton, Indiana veteran in his #11 Burkett-Nester Racecars / Extreme Blower Spreader entry took the lead from Bud Adams on lap 18 and the 39-year-old driver held off Adams and Scott Coe to score the landmark victory. Nester will head to Angola as the ICAR South Points Leader. Adams hung on for second as Coe finished third. Tim Burkett and Jason Parish completed the top five. Parish scored his third straight M.P.H. Promotions Rookie of the Race Award in three overall ICAR events held so far in 2015 and is also the ICAR Top Speed Modified Tour Northern Division overall and rookie points leader. The Eaton Rapids, Michigan driver will also be on hand at Angola. Trei Deubel was sixth as Veteran Damon Breedlove, who had to win the Last Chance Race to get into the show, finished seventh after starting 17th. Another Veteran, Dave Nester was eighth after starting 20th as Danny Jackson and early race leader, Matt Dimit completed the top 10. Veteran Dan Loughan started 24th and earned the Allstar Performance Hard-Charger Award with his 11th place finish. The next event for the Broaster Chicken ICAR Top Speed Modified Tour will be for the Northern Division as they return to Springport Motor Speedway on Saturday, June 13th. The Wheels 4 Wheels 50 Presented by Beacon Sales & Service will mark the second of three appearances at the 3/8s (0.375) mile semi-banked paved oval located north of Jackson and south of Lansing in Springport, Michigan. In the tours' first appearance back on May 3rd, 2015 M.P.H. Promotions Rookie of the Year title contender, Jason Parish scored the victory in the Cabin Fever 50 Presented by Genuine Broaster Chicken. The Springport race will begin a stretch of three races in eight days for ICAR North as just three days later, the Northern contingent will head west to the historic 7/16s (0.437) mile semi-banked paved oval of Berlin Raceway, located west of Grand Rapids in Marne, Michigan on Tuesday, June 16th. The Battle at Berlin 51 Presented by Primera Plastics will support the ARCA/CRA Super Series headlining event, the Battle at Berlin 251 Presented by Primera Plastics. Four days after that, the cross state trek to Auto City Speedway, located north of Flint in Clio, Michigan hosts the North cars and stars in the Genuine Broaster Chicken 50 Presented by Broaster Sales & Service on Saturday, June 20th. The next pair of races for the Broaster Chicken ICAR Top Speed Modified Tour Southern Division will be on back to back nights starting on Friday, June 26th with the Glass City 50 Presented by Genuine Broaster Chicken. The famed 1/2 (0.500) mile high-banked paved oval of Toledo Speedway in Toledo, Ohio serves as hosts. The next night will be at another historic 1/2 mile, this time the legendary Winchester Speedway in Winchester, Indiana hosts the Run For The B.B. Gun 50 Presented by Genuine Broaster Chicken on Saturday, June 27th. In both races, the ICAR Modifieds will be on hand in support of the King of the Wing Sprint Car Series who will highlight both nights. Entry Forms for Springport, Berlin and Auto City are all available while the Toledo and Winchester Entry Forms will be available starting on Friday, June 5th.
