In his first start at Dover International Speedway, Spencer Gallagher, driver of the No. 23 Allegiant Travel Chevrolet, earned a 12th-place finish in the Lucas Oil 200. The finish is his second-best result of the 2015 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) season.

The Monster Mile first-timer started from the 13th position and immediately battled a loose condition from the outset. During the races first caution period on lap 15, Gallagher reported his Allegiant Travel Silverado was way loose on corner entry, and carried that condition through corner exit. As the Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender dealt with the challenging handling condition, he escaped the first of two spins with no contact on lap 28.

Crew chief Jeff Stankiewicz got off-sequence with the leaders during the lap 67 caution, calling Gallagher in for four tires, fuel, wedge, and air pressure adjustments. Gallagher would cycle into the top five as he stayed on the racetrack when many leaders pitted less than ten laps later under yellow. The Las Vegas native ran inside the top five and posted his fastest laps of the event just prior to the halfway point. However, the continuously free handling condition on corner entry was the culprit when Gallagher spun on lap 106, but avoided significant damage.

Over the races final 57 laps, Gallagher managed to corral his loose Chevrolet and earn a 12th-place result, which vaulted him into a tie for seventh in NCWTS points. Gallagher crossed the stripe one lap down behind the race winner, Tyler Reddick.

"We struggled all weekend with the balance on entry on our Allegiant Travel Chevrolet. We started off way too free getting into the corner, and never could make enough gains on the balance to keep track position. Jeff (Stankiewicz) and the GMS Racing team made a great pit call to get track position before halfway, but we were still too free. It was a day well learn from, but this team didnt give up. We moved up in points today, and well move on to Texas (Motor Speedway) and try to knock down another top-10.
