Jason Johnson Atop Rod End Supply Winged 360 Power Rankings

TULSA, Okla. (December 16. 2014) Fresh on the heels of a fifth career ASCS National championship, Louisiana native Jason Johnson escaped with the top spot in Rod End Supply Winged 360 Sprint Car Power Rankings for the second year in a row.

After taking the number one ranking by just 26 points over Johnny Herrera in 2013, it once again came down to the final weekend of racing action.

And, after capturing his first National win of the year and fifth overall in the Cocopah prelim November 14, The Ragin Cajun earned the number one ranking by just 25 points over Clute, TX, racer Aaron Reutzel.

Reutzel made a late rush up the point charts to take second with Sam Hafertepe, Jr., edging Seth Bergman for third.

Herrera rounded out the top five with the balance of the top ten including Tim Crawley, Wayne Johnson, Tony Bruce, Jr., Brian Brown and Jeff Swindell completing the top ten..

Johnson topped a total of 867 different drivers that earned points in the 676 events that awarded points towards the Rod End Supply Winged 360 Sprint Car Power Rankings.

The Rod End Supply Winged 360 Sprint Car Power Rankings are a part of the Open Wheel Power Rankings that also includes STIDA Winged 410s, Keizer Wheels Non-Wing 410s, Beaver Stripes Non-Wing 360s, Downforce Designs Midgets and 305s presented by Dodge City Raceway Park. Robert Ballou topped the non-wing 410 portion, R.J. Johnson bested the Non-Wing 360s while Jeb Sessums took the top 305 ranking with the final standings for the remaining divisions to be released in the coming weeks.

The Open Wheel Power Rankings are determined by cumulative points based on a sliding scale dependent upon car count at Sprint Car and Midget events across all sanctions and non-sanctions throughout North America.
