NickHolt Posted November 28, 2014 Report Share Posted November 28, 2014 Jam-Packed LoneStar Speedway 2015 Schedule Unveiled Kilgore, TX (11/28/14) - If you're a fan of Late Models, Modifieds, Sprint Cars, Factory Stocks, Limited Modifieds, touring series or Monster Trucks; LoneStar Speedway has it all in 2015! Boasting some of the biggest purses in dirt track racing, LoneStar Speedway will continue its 'specials only' format in 2015. There are 16 weekends of action scheduled; giving fans, teams and track workers plenty of time to plan other activities or visit other tracks. LoneStar Speedway is also proud to announce that the three-track alliance between Boothill Speedway and Ark-La-Tex Speedway will continue in 2015 - which means all three track schedules are synched together. All fans and all race teams can race at every dirt track race at these three tracks without ever having to pick or choose...or without having to travel a long distance. It's 57 miles from LoneStar to Boothill, 74 miles from LoneStar to Ark-La-Tex and 32 miles from Boothill to Ark-La-Tex. This alliance has also allowed each of the tracks to focus more on each event, which generally means racers will be competing for more purse money when they hit the track - instead of week after week of 'regular' races, which can quickly drain a team's racing budget. Be watching for the Boothill and Ark-La-Tex schedules to be released soon. LSS will continue to focus on having just three points divisions in 2015: Modifieds, Factory Stocks and Limited Modifieds. This format has allowed for much higher growth and stability in those divisions, and it has resulted in fantastic fan support - as witnessed at the 2014 Armadillo Nationals. Rules updates are underway, and will be posted when they become available. The Beginner Factory Stocks will also have 7 race dates, giving new drivers laps and experience. LSS points drivers are eligible for a $10,000+ cash fund, without having to pay an association or license fee, and only have to compete in 75% of the 12 points events. This year's point fund was $13,000 and will be distributed at the Awards Bash on November 30th. The event is open to all. Details are at the track website and FB page.
