Joey Coulter

No. 21 Allegiant Travel Chevrolet Silverado

This Week's GMS Racings Chevrolet Silverado at Homestead-Miami Speedway ... Joey Coulter will pilot Chassis No. 022 in the Ford EcoBoost 200 at the Homestead-Miami Speedway. The Jeff Stankiewicz-led team has unloaded this chassis six times previously this season, at Kansas Speedway, Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway, Texas Motor Speedway, Pocono (Pa.) Raceway, Michigan International Speedway and again at Texas Motor Speedway. On October 31 at Texas, the GMS Racing prepared chassis qualified 13th and finished in sixth position. This particular Chevrolet Silverado was previously a Richard Childress Racing (RCR) Chassis that Coulter drove to victory lane for his first series win at Pocono Raceway in 2012.

Homestead ... Although this weekend marks Coulter's first Homestead-Miami Speedway appearance with GMS Racing, the Miami Springs, Fla., driver has made three other NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts at the track. He has earned an average starting position of 15.3 and an average finishing position of 11.7. In November 2012, with Richard Childress Racing, the 24-year-old finished a career-best in third-place at the track. In addition, Coulter has one NASCAR Nationwide Series start at the Florida track. He finished in 14th-postion in 2012.

Welcome Home Coulter began his racing career in 1998 at the age of eight. He grew up in Miami Lakes, a neighborhood close enough that, if the wind was blowing in the right direction, you could hear the noise from the cars over at Hialeah Speedway. After Hialeah Speedway was closed in 2005, the closest track was in Punta Gorda, Fla., a three-hour drive away for Coulter. Finding races often meant long treks up into central Florida and places like New Smyrna Speedway and USA International in Lakeland. The Miami Springs, Fla., native has raced in a myriad of race cars throughout his career, including go-karts, the Florida FASTRUCK Series, and stock cars.

Homestead-Miami Speedway Rewind Joey Coulter entered the last race of the 2013 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series schedule at the Homestead-Miami Speedway optimistic to close out his junior year campaign on a high note. He started the event from the 25th-place, but a series of events plagued Coulter and ultimately lead to a 27th-place finish in the season finale.

Come Fly with Me ... The No. 21 Chevrolet Silverado team will sport the white, blue, and orange colors this weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway, with Allegiant Travel adorning the hood and quarter panels. The paint scheme was inspired by the Allegiant airline fleet. With low-low fares, nonstop flights, all-jet service and premier travel partners, Allegiant provides a complete travel experience with great value without all the hassle.

In the Rearview Mirror: Phoenix International Raceway ... Despite showing speed in the early stages of the race, Joey Coulter and the No. 21 Allegiant Travel Chevrolet Silverado team were relegated to a 30th-place finish in the Lucas Oil 150 at the Phoenix International Raceway, after a cut tire sent the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series regular into the outside wall.

JOEY COULTER QUOTE:

Racing at Homestead-Miami Speedway is always very special to me. I grew up just north of the track in Miami Springs, and raced go-karts and stock cars all over south Florida.

Homestead-Miami Speedway is a great track and has its own character that is not like any other track the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series goes to. It has multiple racing lines that always have speed at some point during the night. I can't wait to race our No. 21 Allegiant Travel Chevrolet Silverado in front of my hometown crowd and hopefully finish out the season with a win.

Spencer Gallagher

No. 23 Allegiant Travel Chevrolet Silverado

This Week's GMS Racings Chevrolet Silverado at Homestead-Miami Speedway ... Spencer Gallagher will pilot Chassis No. 024 in the Ford EcoBoost 200 at the Homestead-Miami Speedway. Friday will mark its third appearance with the Shane Huffman-led team in the 2014 season. The chassis has history at Kansas Speedway and at Texas Motor Speedway. Most recently, teammate Max Gresham drove this chassis to a seventh-place result on October 31 at Texas Motor Speedway. Prior to being in the GMS Racing fleet, Chassis No. 024 spent time at Richard Childress Racing with Brendan Gaughan.

I'm going to Miami, Welcome to Miami Friday will be Gallaghers second career start at the Homestead-Miami Speedway in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. In one previous start, in 2013, Gallagher qualified in the 33rd-spot, and finished 32nd after completing 101 laps.

Ninth Season Start Homestead-Miami Speedway will mark Gallaghers ninth start of the 2014 season with GMS Racing in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and his 12th career series start. A highlight of the season for Gallagher was holding off challengers in the final two laps, all while leading the outside lane and going four-wide, and ultimately finishing third at Talladega Superspeedway.

In the Kitchen with Gallagher On Thursday, Spencer Gallagher will participate in a Cook-off with a celebrity chef in the third annual Championship Taste at the Homestead-Miami Speedway. Funds raised through Championship Taste will benefit The NASCAR Foundations Speediatrics Unit at the Homestead Hospital.

In the Rearview Mirror: Phoenix International Raceway ... Spencer Gallagher and the No. 23 Kingman Chevrolet-Buick / Allegiant Travel Chevrolet Silverado team started the 150-mile affair from the sixth position. On Lap 27, Gallagher spun underneath another competitor in Turn 3. The team concluded the damage was too extensive from the on-track incident, so the teams day came to an early end with only 27 laps completed, forcing Gallagher to settle for a 31st-place result.

Spencer Gallagher Quote:

"It's always bittersweet going into the last race of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season. It's fun to go to Homestead-Miami Speedway because the track atmosphere is always electric. It's the last event of the season for the fans and it is championship weekend, so there is so much extra excitement around the race.

I'm sure Shane (Huffman, crew chief) and the GMS Racing crew will have a fast No. 23 Allegiant Travel Chevrolet Silverado for us, and I am going to do my best to win the last race of the season."
