what a crazy weekend of racing we won our heat race an we won our qualifier then had to redraw for a starting spot draw 8 so what was the qualifying race for don't get it then we won the feature an the cut the pay 40 percent because they said we did not have a full field we had over 20 we need 24 at sos full pay with 11 at sts full pay with 15 cbs 24 I think that's a little far out there a 2 day show is a lot of money for the out of town cars then cut the pay that much for a few less then 24 is crazy

Congrats on the clean sweep, Chevy35.

But the payout structure was known going in, so there's really no legitimate complaint.

Getting on a forum and complaining about things you don't like is counter-productive at best and downright damaging to the track and racing in general. Please take whatever complaints you have to the complaint department.

Thanks.

P.S. Lone Star Speedzone is not the complaint department.

not calling it complaining just giving my option so maybe next year they will have more cars if I knew there was a redraw after you qualify I would have left my car at home that's just crazy thank you nick car ran good all weekend mickey did a great job with the car on 8in tires for the first time

I guessing you guys don't run a lot of year end shows, I have been to a ton of big shows with the exact same structure (but it is not my favorite one)..... the track has to assume there will be enough cars to justify the need to qualify....so...Friday...the point was to get in the top 12....it was clearly explained in the drivers meeting....so..it was clear to anyone that was there and listened...that all they needed to do was get in the top 12....no need to push your car to win....unless you just race cars because you love to race....(which no one does anymore) If you had a problem with that...the drivers meeting was the perfect time to bring it up. Now..as for 5$ extra on the pit passes....if 10$ for the weekend made it to expensive....I would suggest running a more affordable class.... I have said it before...the imca hobby is the best class for the money....tires last a long time....gas don't cost 10$ a gallon...and one gallon of gas would have offset your extra pit pass cost....

Now the payout was on the flyer from the start....even the reduction if less than 24 cars....to complain about that after the race does bring in to question a few things...but none of them about the track.

Looking at the flyer for the STS December race, it looks like $30/day for pit pass (normal cost from what I've noticed around here) and $75/$100 early registration for the car. Don't think that's been changed too much over the year and between Lim Mods and Pure Stocks, I'd expect 60-75 cars by Sat night. They usually don't have a problem pulling in, just an observation. As for expecting 24 for full field, personally I think that's high, 16 seems to be the magic number, but obviously I don't know anything about the track's finances and what their "break even" point is/was. If track doesn't make money, it closes and there won't be a place to be concerned about the prices/payouts.
