Rain Cancels NCRA Modified Saturday night, Event Rescheduled

Park City, Kansas October 10, 2014 - Due to almost two inches of rain that has soaked the track and the cool temperatures, officials with the National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing Products as well as 81 Speedway have decided to cancel the Saturday night, October 11, modified event that was scheduled.

Due to the rainout, the remaining two events on the 2014 race schedule have been pushed back one week. The next event for the NCRA modified division will now be held next Saturday night, October 18, with the championship season finale now slated for Saturday night, October 25, both at 81 Speedway.

Next Saturday nights event will kick off an intense final two events for the tour as four drivers have a shot at the 2014 championship. Currently Dan Powers of Wichita, Kansas hold a slim ten point lead over defending tour champion Marc Hurd. Nebraska veteran Jon Thompson is just forty points out of the lead while Kirby Robe is just 155 points out.
