TheCloser
After reviewing the available schedule we have determined that the canceled points race at Texas Motor Speedway (originally schedule for August 9th) will not be made up on the 2014 season schedule. On paper, the simple answer would be to move the race to Central Texas Speedway because the track is racing that same night. Like most tracks, CTS makes their operating budget well in advance of a race weekend. After working with the track the series determined that it would not be fair to add our race to their race night schedule and take away from any commitments that the track has made to other touring series and local racing classes. Central Texas Speedway has been an integral part of the success and continued growth of the series. While we are disappointed that we will not have a make-up race for the cancelled TMS event, we do not want to put any host track in a position that could affect their overall success of a race night. All other available race nights on the CTS schedule would conflict with remaining races on the 2014 TALMS schedule not currently scheduled at CTS. The next race on the TALMS calendar will be on August 23, 2014 at CC Speedway. Thank you all for supporting the series.
