NCRA Late Models set for Holiday weekend doubleheader

 

Park City, Kansas – July 1, 2014 - After a two month hiatus, gladiators of the National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing Products late model division gets back underway this Independence Holiday weekend with a pair of events slated.

 

It all kicks off this 4th of July as 81 Speedway in Park City will host a special Friday night edition of NCRA racing that will also see the series modified division on the racing card. From there the late model tour, along with the modifieds, will head north to their annual July Holiday visit to the Belleville High Banks in Belleville, Kansas.

 

Ryan Gustin (2) and Kyle Berck have victories thus far on the 2014 NCRA late model tour with former two-time tour champion Berck looking to claim his third series title. Gustin is not expected to compete this weekend.

 

Drivers expected to compete at either venue include; Eric Main, Mike Wiarda, Mike Wiarda, Tad Pospisil, Scott Phillips, Chris Kratzer, Gary Gorby, Wylan Petrie and Jeremy Petty.

 

Gates for Friday night at 81 Speedway will open at 5:00 PM with racing set to start at 7:00 PM. 81 Speedway is located north of Wichita on I-135 to exit 16, then .7 mile west on 77th St. in Park City. For more race information contact the 81 Speedway office (316) 755-1781.

 

Saturday night at the Belleville High Banks will see gates open at 5:00 PM with race time slated for a 7:30 PM start time. The Belleville High Banks is located 2.0 miles north of US 36 on US 81, then 0.4 mile southeast on M St. to 7th St., then 0.1 mile east (near the water tower, at the North Central Kansas Fairgrounds).
