McLemore gang sweeps at Central Texas Speedway as CC Speedway looms next t for DCRST

Todd McLemore (54) returned in full force to Dwarf Car Racing Series of Texas action at Central Texas Speedway June 14th sweeping the heat and feature races at The Summer Showdown. After a rough outing the 2 weeks before, McLemore won the heat race then patiently waited for his chance to make the pass for the lead and went on to win his second main event of 2014.

Point leader Billy Groff (30) finished in the runner up spot maintaining his point lead. Arden Vikre (72), second place point contender Butch Havelka (27) and Chris Silvas Jr (86) rounded out the top 5 in another tightly contested race.

Once again the DCRST brought the big crowd at CTS to their feet with the close action on the race track. Many drivers recorded their quickest lap times of the season in practice as the Saturday weather conditions brought overcast skies and somewhat cooler air temperatures. This continued into the main event and the speeds were indeed quick.

Mike McLemore (44) notched heat race win #1 as well making it a full McLemore race winning weekend in DCRST.

Next up for the traveling road show is Corpus Christi Speedway for race number 8 on June 28th and the third at CC this season. Havelka and Chase Havely have notched race wins in the two prior events.

DCRST will join the TALMS, TPS, CC Bombers and Lone Star Legacies on the card at the high banked ¼ bullring.
