Blake Hahn Doubles up Top Tens in Texas Swing; Ready for More this Weekend

 

 

 

 

 

SAPULPA, Okla. (May 21, 2014) - Blake Hahn spent this past weekend around the Dallas / Ft. Worth area, competing Friday night at the Boyd Raceway in Boyd, Texas on Friday, May 16 and the Devil's Bowl Speedway on Saturday, May 17.

 

 

 

 

Finishing fifth at Boyd and tenth at the Devil's Bowl, Hahn commented on how each night started off with a wide, passable track before the rubber set in, "Heat Races were really good with slide-jobs, but once we got into the feature, it didn't take long; maybe a few laps to start taking rubber. It was hard to pass, so you had to capitalize on every opportunity you had."

 

 

 

 

Despite being hard to pass both nights, Hahn was otherwise pleased with the weekend, posting his eleventh top ten this season in ASCS competition, and twelfth overall.

 

 

 

 

 

The Old School Racing No. 17 will remain in the state of Texas this coming Memorial Day Weekend with a three day swing at the Cotton Bowl Speedway on Friday, May 23 in Paige, Texas then the Shady Oaks Speedway in Goliad, Texas on Saturday, May 24. The weekend caps off with the Golden Triangle Raceway Park in Beaumont, Texas on Sunday, May 25.

 

 

 

 

 

All three races will be sanctioned with the Griffith Truck and Equipment Gulf South Region.

 

 

 

 

 

"I'm looking forward to this weekend. We went to Paige (Cotton Bowl Speedway) last year and were supposed to go to Goliad (Shady Oaks) but got rained out so I'm looking forward to that track since I've never been there before. Sunday we're going to Beaumont (Golden Triangle Raceway Park) and I always enjoy racing there."
