ON A ROLL: During the first four ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards events, Spencer Gallagher and the No. 23 Allegiant Travel Chevrolet team have recorded two top-five and three top-10 finishes. The consecutive top-five finishes came at Salem (Ind.) Speedway (second) and Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway (fifth).

 

 

 

GALLAGHER AT TOLEDO: Gallagher returns to Toledo (Ohio) Speedway for the third consecutive year in the ARCA Racing Series. Last season, Gallagher qualified in the 16th position, before a blown tire prematurely ended his day and relegated the No. 23 Chevrolet to a 26th-place finish.

CHASSIS INFORMATION: Gallagher will pilot Chassis No. 307 in the Menards 200 presented by Federated Car Care at Toledo Speedway. This is the same chassis Gallagher drove to a seventh-place finish at Mobile (Ala.) International Speedway earlier this season. In addition, the Las Vegas native raced this Chevrolet Impala at Toledo Speedway and Iowa Speedway in 2013.

 

 

 

TEAMMATE ON THE ROOF: Gallagher will have NASCAR Camping World Truck Series teammate Max Gresham on the roof, handling spotter duties for this weekend in Toledo. Gresham is a former ARCA Racing Series winner at Mansfield Motorsports Park in 2010.

 

 

 

TALLADEGA RECAP: Two weeks ago during the ARCA Racing Series event at Talladega Superspeedway, Gallagher started the International Motorsports Hall of Fame 200 from the 18th position. Driving the No. 23 Alamo Rent A Car Chevrolet Impala, Gallagher patiently drove his way into the top-10 and after the lone green flag pit stop was scored inside the top-five. Gallagher finished the 76-lap event in the fifth position.

 

 

 

MEET SPENCER: Gallagher will join fellow ARCA Racing Series drivers to sign autographs on Sunday, May 18th from 12 Noon to 1:00 P.M. ET. The pre-race autograph session will take place on track at Toledo Speedway.

What do you like about racing at Toledo Speedway?

 

I really like Toledo. Its a cool little place that almost resembles Mobile in that its a racy half-mile; a textbook short track. You have the standard one and a half racing lines and can use the apron to make passes. We have had a lot of bad luck there in the past but there is no reason my GMS Racing team cant go there and contend for the win.

 

 

 

How has the season gone so far?

 

Between Mobile, Salem, and Talladega, we are in the midst of a good little run here so far with a seventh, second, and fifth. We have continued to improve at every track we go back to compared to last season and thats really all you can ask for.

 

 

 

What are you focused on at this point of the season?

 

Our goal for this season is to top-five them to death, because when you top-five consistently, you just start winning. Its crazy how it works, but when you put yourself in position, sooner or later you will win. We arent focusing on getting to Victory Lane. We are focused on running great. When you do that, great things will happen.
