ASCS Lone Star to take on Boyd Raceway and the Devil's Bowl

TULSA, Okla. (May 13, 2014) - The Smiley's Racing Products Lone Star Region takes on two track this weekend with things kicking off at the Boyd Raceway in Boyd, Texas on Friday, May 16 followed by the region's return to the Devil's Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas on Saturday, May 17 with the addition of the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region.

A world of difference between the two facilities, Boyd Raceway features a semi-banked, quarter-mile bullring while the Devil's Bowl stacks the distance to a half-mile.

In the Lone Star Region's last outing at the Boyd Raceway on April 26, 2013, Tony Bruce, Jr. topped the field with Johnny Herrera and Channin Tankersley in tow. The Devil's Bowl Speedway is scheduled to host ASCS National and Regional events seven times in 2014 with two dates down as Tony Bruce, Jr. and Patrick Stasa split the 2014 Spring Nationals.

El Paso's John Carney II leads the way into the weekend double-header with Patrick Stasa trailing by a slim 18 points. While Stasa has a pair of wins to his credit in 2014, Carney has consistency on his side with four top-fives' in four feature starts.
