Cruisers Return to Salina Speedway on May 16

by Dusty Wiegert

SALINA, Kan. After a successful event last fall the Outlaw Cruisers will return for a spring showdown at the Salina Speedway in Salina, Kansas on Friday, May 16th.

The Outlaw Cruisers will race for $500 to win. The entrants can expect a car entry fee of $80 to participate in this great event, and cars from all over Kansas are invited.

Cruiser racing is unique in that the driver of the car controls the steering and brake pedal while a passenger controls the throttle. This is the only form of dirt racing involving a two person team.

Also on the card for the evening are the Belleville Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds, Coors Light Street Stocks, M&H Motors IMCA Northern SportMods, and Chamucos Nightclub Mini Stocks.

Hot laps are scheduled for 7:15PM with racing to follow.

Adult admission is $10, with kids 15 & under FREE with paid adult. All seniors 55 and up are HALF PRICE with ID. All active & retired military are FREE with appropriate ID as well! Pit passes are $25.
