DCRST ready for CC double date

After an amazing 15 car main event Saturday at CC Speedway the Dwarf Car Racing Series heads to the dirt track at South Texas Speedway in Corpus Christi for the second of a back to back tour

of the Sparkling City by the Sea.

Butch Havelka of Portland prevailed in the 25 lap feature over Rusty Young from Helotes and San Marcos' Arden Vikre on the fast ¼ mile oval. The tight pack navigated the track quickly with
many of the cars staying under the 16 second mark on the time sheet. With the heat win and 2nd place in the feature, R. Young assumes the points lead while Havelka vaults into the top 5 with the
win. Near the halfway point of the event Jerry Young was involved in a crash that took the always fast #18 out of the event after contact with the wall on the front stretch. Russell Rust #31 was the
driver with a long weekend; after a Friday practice crash Rust with the help of many DCRST members was able to make the show and finish the main event.
