Dirt Nation presented by Switchme.net will be offering an exciting show this coming Monday evening when four dirt Late Model stars join the ‘Rat Pack’ Monday evening November 29, 2004. Joining the ‘Rat Pack’ will be Kelly Boen, Jimmy Owens, Aaron Hatton and Eric Zembower. Kelly Boen of Denver, CO, just wrapped up his 24th season as a dirt Late Model ace and finished the 2004 season with 11 wins. Over the course of the season Boen ran with a virtual alphabet of dirt Late Model series including TORA, NCRA, WDRL, MLRA, CLMA and UMP/XDCS. Boen, who finances his team due to his successful business, Roadrunner Fabrication, drives the Rocket Chassis #07.

 

Jimmy Owens of Newport, TN, stays busy with his Modified fabricating business, Loose Gruff Chassis in addition to housing Mach2 Motorsports, the dirt Late Model team with cars owned by Arnold Fuller that brought Owens to 11 wins in 2004 with the most recent win coming in the Hall of Fame 100 at Atomic Motor Speedway. The Mastersbilt Race Cars/Cornett Racing Engines #20 carries sponsorship from Ultra Pro Machining, VP Fuels, PPM Racing Products, Hoosier by Pup, Mastersbilt Race Cars and DynaTech, among others.

 

Aaron Hatton of Mt. Sterling, KY was just crowned the 2004 Battle of the Bluegrass presented by Arizona Sport Shirts Points Champion. The 22-year-old University of Kentucky student participated in all 22 series events held this year. Even though he did not score a win this year on the tour Hatton's consistent finishes enabled him to the Series Championship. Hatton racked up 13 top five finishes this year, including six runner-up finishes. Hatton drives the Mastersbilt Race Cars/Draime Racing Engines #33 and sponsors include Russell Hatton Used Cars and Mobile Home Rentals, Cutting Edge Signs, Jerry Hatton Used Cars, Porter Tire Center, American Racer Tires, Skillsaw Designs and Checkered Flag Auto Sales.

 

20 year veteran racer Eric Zembower of Bedford, PA will be on hand to discuss his 2004 racing season that was highlighted by Zembower’s first win at Port Royal Speedway in his GRT Race Cars/Jeff Miller Racing Engines #49. Sponsors include Cellular One, Thomas Automotive Family, Interstate Emergency Services Napa Auto Parts, Kase Beverage, Phoenix Foods, a distributor of Middleswarth Potato Chips, Resslers Exxon, Ritcheys Well Drilling, Fishers Pharmacy and The Hairline. Zembower is the founder of Auto Racing Outreach for Kids, where he takes his car, his stories and his big smile to local schools and is the driving force behind the GIFTS FOR KIDS program based in Bedford, PA.
